Frank Lopez, Director.
Frank is an award-winning journalist and sound engineer who has worked at some of the biggest recording studios in New York, including Electric Lady, working with clients such as Sonic Youth, The Mars Volta and Kings of Leon.
Frank is the Head Writer and Senior Producer of Spotify’s documentary series Who is Daniel Johns?, Head Writer and Original Composer of the University of Technology Sydney’s The Last Outlaws and Senior Producer of Threads with Veronica Milsom for ABC Audio Studios. Frank has created original podcast score for Pineapple Street Media/Netflix, Gimlet Media, Impact Studios and the Paul Ramsay Foundation.
He has mic’d everyone from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to Emily Ratajkowski, recording sound for film, television, podcasts and ad spots. Frank mixed live orchestras and broadcasts as Head Engineer for Symphony Space in Manhattan.
Kaitlyn Sawrey, Director.
Kaitlyn is an award-winning journalist and host of the Spotify Original documentary series Who is Daniel Johns?, The Last Outlaws from the University of Technology Sydney, and Cake the podcast from State Library of Queensland. Occasionally she pops up as a fill-in host of ABC Radio Queensland’s Drive program.
Previously, Kaitlyn was the co-founder and Senior Producer of Science Vs at Gimlet Media/Spotify, Executive Producer of triple j’s youth current affairs show Hack, founding Editor of Hack’s digital team and the founding producer of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s podcast pilot project First Run, which became ABC Audio Studios.
Her award-winning fact-based fiction episode of Science Vs Pandemic (released just months before the onset of Covid-19) was gut-checked by Dr. Anthony Fauci and previewed many things that would come to pass.
She started her career as a reporter for triple j and has recorded radio from hot air balloons, helicopters and sitting on the roof racks of a 4WD.
